Dr. Hines is also the laser eye surgeon of choice for professional athletes and celebrities from around the country.

Dr. Hines is not only a leading laser eye surgeon in refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK, Verisyse Lens, Visian lens, cataract surgery, and phakic IOLs; he also specializes in diseases of the eye, intraocular lens implants, and strabismus procedures.

He was one of the first LASIK surgeons in Denver, Colorado, and the first physician in the state to insert the New Array Multi focal intraocular lens. Dr. Hines is an assistant clinical professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Hines and his wife, Ann, have two grown children.

Christopher S. Allen, M.D.

Photo: Christopher S. Allen, M.D. Dr. Allen has 16 years of distinguished military service in the United States Air Force Medical Corps. He was the number one graduate from the country’s prestigious military medical school, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Prior to his ophthalmology training, he served as an aerospace medicine physician at the elite Air Force Special Operations Command where he cared for our special operations personnel as well as developed medical doctrine to be used in the special operations missions. After his ophthalmology training he excelled as the staff ophthalmologist at the Department of Defense’s premier medical center in Germany. Besides running a busy laser refractive practice where he was the first Air Force physician to perform LASIK in Europe, he cared for battle-injured soldiers evacuated from the war zones of Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He was then recruited as the Director of the Air Force’s War-Fighter Refractive Eye Surgery Center in Northern California. Dr. Allen has enhanced the military’s combat readiness by performed thousands of laser refractive procedures on members of all branches of the Armed Forces. Air Force Aviators and special operations personnel have sought out Dr. Allen’s expertise for their laser vision correction. The pinnacle of Dr. Allen’s military career culminated in his voluntary tour in Iraq where he proudly served our country as the only Air Force eye surgeon in Iraq, where he performed sight saving eye surgery in a combat zone.
