Meet Dr. Rose Shimonova
Dr. Rose Shimonova is a licensed optometrist who joined us in 2023. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Optometry and completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at Thomas E. Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Amarillo, Texas. She also holds a Master of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science degree from University of Colorado.
Dr. Shimonova is passionate about providing quality eye care to her patients and has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing various ocular conditions, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome. She also specializes in fitting custom contact lenses and management of post-operative cataract extraction.
She has traveled to Mexico and Belize on mission trips and enjoys involvement in community service events including the Special Olympics. Outside of the office Dr. Shimonova enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Shimonova is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association and is currently the Clinical Director for Special Olympics Opening Eyes.
