"I am so impressed with all the staff and the doctors. We have been going to the practice for several years. I had never met Dr. Coco. He is wonderful. Bernadette did a fantastic job detailing my cataract surgery and Dr. Coco did a stellar job calming me down the morning of the surgery. I was very nervous but Dr. Coco was very calm and reassuring. Just what I needed."

LASIK
Glasses and contact lenses can be a distant memory with LASIK, a procedure that uses a laser to reshape a patient's corneas to improve their vision. LASIK is an innovation in modern medicine that can treat patients with myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Our ophthalmologists have provided LASIK to more than 50,000 patients.
Cataract Surgery
Cataracts make vision blurry or foggy. Our Denver ophthalmologist can perform two types of cataract surgery to break up and remove your clouded lens and replace it with an IOL. These new lenses correct your vision and may even eliminate the need for corrective lenses.
General Eye Care
Attending routine eye exams with our optometrists allows them to perform a visual acuity test and refraction assessment. These tests determine if you need glasses or contact lenses. Our optometrists will also screen you for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and more to help you maintain your vision.

FAQ
What is the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist?
While an optometrist can examine, diagnose, and treat your eyes, an opthalmologist is a doctor who can provide patients with medical care and surgery for eye conditions. Our ophthalmology practice is proud to employ both optometrists and an ophthalmologist so patients can receive well-rounded care from one location.
I'm diabetic. How often should I visit an optometrist?
We recommend that patients with diabetes have their vision checked at least once a year to prevent vision loss, and more often if they notice changes. Patients with diabetes are at greater risk for a variety of eye problems like diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, cataracts, and glaucoma. If left untreated, these problems can impair vision, even to the point of blindness. Preventative care, including yearly comprehensive eye exams, allows us to catch early warning signs and diagnose conditions at the earliest stage possible.
